From Creation to Curation – A Hands-On Journey Through Dance Film

The Dance & Film: A Two-Part Intensive is a unique program designed for artists looking to develop their screen dance production skills and curatorial expertise. Through a dynamic, hands-on curriculum, participants will create remote dance films and launch a public-facing online festival to showcase their work and other international work.

Program Structure

This intensive is divided into two interconnected parts:

 

🎥 Part 1: Creating Dance Film Remotely (4 Weeks)
Students will explore the art of remote collaboration, learning to conceptualize, film, and edit dance films using accessible technology.

🎬 Part 2: Curating the Screen (4 Weeks)
Participants will shift from creators to curators, designing and launching an online film festival featuring their works and additional curated selections.

PART 1: CREATING DANCE FILM REMOTELY

📌 Final Project: A completed short dance film (2-3 minutes)
